The ecologically clean town is located in the center of South-Eastern Crimea between Alushta and Sudak. Mountain ridge Demerdzhi closes Malorechenskoye  from three sides, thus retaining the warmth of the Black Sea even in the midst of autumn coolness. This place is a perfect one to relax without city hustle and bustle, and enjoy the harmony of nature.

Climate: maritime, typical for the southern part of the Northern Black Sea coast, with mild winters and hot summers. Holiday season, the time when you can swim in the sea, lasts here from early May up to late October. Usually at this time water temperature is about 17 degrees Celsius or 62,6 Fahrenheit. The combination of mountain air and seaside breeze, enriched  with sea salt, creates some kind of healing "air cushion" in the valley. This is why Malorechenskoe is sometimes  called "The Little Yalta.

What to do here?

  • Go on a thrilling journey on the extreme powerful "mountain jeep" UAZ to the valley of the Demerdzhi mountains.

  • Visit the most full-flowing waterfall of Crimea  "Jur-Jur" and swim in the baths of youth and long life for gaining natural beauty (7 km from Malorechenskoye).

  • You can hide from everyone in the so-called  «Love Bay» ( or «Blue Bay»).  Truly romantic and almost inaccessible for people, the bay is located under a high cliff with a lighthouse on it between the two beaches - Malorechenskoye and Ribachyi.

  • Try and play a pirate in the rocky chaos “Tuzluk”, in the grotto of which  episodes of the "Treasure Island" cartoon were filmed.

  • Feel like a real tourist,have nice rest at the camp. Since Soviet times, there are paved paths with squares between them filled  with sand and grass. Here you will find very beautiful scenery  no matter where you look at or from. Cypresses, cedars, ailanthus and other shady vegetation create this unique, beautiful, life atmosphere which one can never forget.

  • Visit the world's only Saint Nicholas Church Lighthouse.You can see magnificent views of the vast Black Sea from the cliff, where the Church is located. The great Ayu-Dag is seen in the bluish haze of dawn. Taking a look a little closer  you will see the outlines of rocks, which are sharply chipped with waves, and in the distance you can see the top of the Demerdzhi mountain. The special flavor of the valley is created by the well-disposed rows of vineyards.

  • Visit the museum of water accidents, where you can walk along the deck of the sunken ship and solve the mysteries of the underwater world. The museum recreates a panorama of the seabed, there you can find unique scenery,  the skin of sunken ships, overgrown with seaweed and corals, on the decks of which excursions are held. The walls and the ceilings are decorated with ship wrecks, dim lights, a world map with places with marked places of the most terrible marine catastrophes.

  • Take wonderful panoramic shots on the edge of the cliff sailing on a wonderful schooner hovering over the sea.

  • Take part in a quest in a very unusual location, at the place where the giant stone mushrooms of Soter are located.

  • Enjoy the best healing Crimean tea collected from mountain herbs on Demerdzhi mountain. Bounteous lavender fields, cornel valley, strawberry fields the unique herbs and plants are everywhere.

  • Take an incredible journey to the mountains. Within just 3 hours you will change  3 climate zones. Just imagine!

  • Climb to the top of the Korabi-Yayla mountain, reminiscing  the Moon  surface: it’s a huge flat area with lots of deep craters, with a cave almost in each of them. Find the path to the abandoned St. Anastasia monastery, which left a holy water spring on its place. Reach the top of the Kara-Tau Mount, and take a chance to get acquainted with a lot of karst underground labyrinths.

  • Visit the Kanaka Mountain botanical reserve, on the sides of which grows about 1000 trees of  relic juniper; their average age is aprx 300 years, but there are some up to half a meter in diameter and up to 800 years old. Hiking generally stabilizes blood pressure and has a powerful antiseptic properties, so you should definitely try.

  • Immerse yourself in the silence of nature, going deeper in areas above Malorechenskoe, where you will see lakes rich with carp fish species, abandoned pear orchards and numerous water mountain springs.

  • Recover your health with medical health paths (limited hiking walks on special routes). The combination of sea air enriched with iodine, chilled with healing herbs, and an excess of oxygen in the mountain forest areas will help you restore a healthy body and mind.

  • Venture to have a walk from Alushta to Sudak walking along the unique hiking route, following the seaside among the wild cliffs. You will come across the house of professor Brandt, orchard, the Sotera arroyo (where the mammonth remains were found). Next to the Morskoye town episodes of «3+2» movie were filmed.

  • Be sure to taste the Crimean wines in the exclusive private museum shop "the Golitsyn’s Grotto" The author of these wines  is Sergey Zadorozhnyy, the chief winemaker of the "Malorechenskoe" plant  and of course the owner and sommelier. The credit of these wines belong to him: Red Port Wine Malorechenskoe, Marsala Malorechenskaya, and a whole collection of natural semi-sweet wines.

  • Go on a voyage  along the eastern and southern coasts. Going by ship  from Malorechenskoe you will visit Sudak, Novy Svet, Alushta, Yalta and the Swallow's Nest in one day.

  • Malorechenskoe is a fig paradise. The tree can reach up to 12 meters height. Local craftsmen make marmalade and fig jam. Make sure to try and take home a jar of jam. During the cold winter months it will remind you of summer and warmth and it will actually give you its healing powerty for gaining longevity.

  • Watch the sunset on the "Cheese rock" and make a wish when the stars fall.
