Yepatoriyan mosque Khan-Jami, or Juma-Jami, or Friday Mosque, has no equals in the Crimea in size and splendor. The mosque was built in 1552, by the talented Turkish architect of the Renaissance, a Greek-born Sinan Hoxha, the author of numerous architectural structures in Istanbul and other cities of the Muslim East.

According to the tradition, the new Khan after enthronement in Istanbul arrived in Kezlev by sea, where people in the mosque announced the new ruler, after which Khan was directed to Bakhchisaray. That is why the first part of the name is Khan.

The mosque is a massive multi-domed building with two minarets. The height of the mosque is 22 m, it is illuminated by 59 windows of various shapes. The mosque can be entered either through the central north entrance, or through side doors – western and eastern. The central space of the mosque is blocked by 11 meters couple with 15 windows. The couple rests on a spherical sails and four lancet arches. Side two-stored galleries are closed by flat three domes in a row.

The mosque underwent several restorations and alterations. The last one started in 1962 and lasted more than 20 years. Now the mosque is used as a temple.
