The Memorial Complex "Memories of the dead on the waters" was created in the village of Malorechenskoye that includes the Church of St. Nicholas of Myra and the Disaster Cataclysm Museum. The memorial is a tribute to the memory of sailors, fishermen and travelers who have fallen victim to the water element.

The catastrophe museum on the waters is located under the church building in the basement-platform. The exposition is devoted to the most tragic pages of the development of navigation - catastrophes on the waters that led to innumerable human sacrifices.  The museum is located in 17 rooms, each of which narrates through video clips and stands about the most resonant tragedies on the waters of the World Ocean.

The general scenario of the exhibition starts in the lobby, the interior of which causes the viewer to feel a personal presence aboard the sunken ancient ship.  "Prologue" of the exposition is a running line with an endless list of shipwrecks with the date, place of death and number of victims of the tragedy.  The architectural and artistic solution of the interiors looks like this.  The spectator passes along the deck of the "sunken ship", enters his "holds", moves from compartment to compartment.

On the sides of the neighboring "sunken ships" 9 video clips are shown with the help of camouflaged video projectors: documentary-chronicle movies about tragedies on the waters, archival videos, eyewitness accounts.  A ship's fencing, made of metal and hemp rope, separates the exposition from the traffic zone of visitors.

The foreground imitates the seabed, on which chronologically exhibits of different epochs, shipwreck results are displayed: anchors, cannonballs, cannon mock-ups, chains, lights, remains of boats and other objects emotionally supporting the general imaginative solution, as well as  Scraps of old fishing nets, a blackened tree, overgrown with shells of metal. All the walls are decorated with reliefs (under algae) and painted in an appropriate dark color scheme. The floors are made of a chopped deck board.
