Crimea is traditionally considered a region favorable for wind energy. The Mirnovsky wind power station is a section of the Saki wind power station (WPS), today 158 wind-electric installations (WPI) with a total capacity of 18.46 MW are installed at the station.

The construction of the wind farm began in 1992. On May 6, 1993, the first three windmills of type USW 56-100 with a capacity of 107.5 kW were commissioned. The average number of employees in the enterprise in 2004-2005 was 81 people. Only one giant T600-48 of all wind turbines (with a strong enough wind) worked this time.
