Museum of writer Ivan Shmelev in Alushta will open the exhibition "Revolution of 1917 in the life and work of I.S. Shmelyov".  The exhibition will present photo documents from the writer's Paris archive. 

The administration of the memorial museum told the travel portal that photocopies of documents were donated to the museum by the Russian Cultural Foundation several years ago to the Shmelevsky readings. 

"The passport of Ivan Sergeyevich, on which he moved from Berlin to Paris, his photographs of the period against the background of newspaper material about the arrival of the writer," - the museum noted. 

Part of the exhibition is the illustrations to Shmelev's work "The Sun of the Dead". 

"Artists in allegorical form and black and white graphics reflected the pain of one of the most tragic books about the Civil War," - the museum added. 

Exhibition "Revolution of 1917 in the life and work of I.S. Shmelev" will be opened on November 9 at 15.00 and will last in the writer's house-museum (Alushta, Naberezhnaya St., 2) until December 8.  Admission is free.
